Broad Function and Purpose of Position

Manage District Sales force and assigned customer accounts to achieve sales profit goals for Sika Tile and Merkrete brands of Tile Setting Materials.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage District Sales organizational structure and assigned accounts to ensure acheivement of sales forecast within assigned gross margin target for Sika Tile and Merkrete brands
  • Recommended sales forecast, discount targets, budgeted expenditures, monitoring deviations and intiating corrective action to achieve sales and profit (C2) goals.
  • Develop and maintain distribution network assuring maximum coverage in all market segments in sales territory.
  • Implement operational company policies and strategies consistent with approved procedures to provide for the achievement of company objectives.
  • Analyze and report business conditions within the district and recommend actions to regional Manager and VP consistent with sales operational goals.
  • Select, develop, train and motivate Sales Representatives to maximize a productivity level, positive morale, and most effective utilization of individual and group potential.
  • Align sales territories to ensure optimum market deviation.
  • Cultivate a broad Tile Contractor Applicator Program thru evaluation, product education, application techniques for strategic markets.
  • Direct efforts of sales group in achieving a highly visual position in product specifications.
  • Perform AD HOC duties and activities as directed by Regional Manager.

Qualifications/Experience/Education:

  • Proven track record as a Sales Representative and Sales Manager for 5 or more years
  • Capable of motivating Sales Representatives through organization and goal achievement.
  • Sales management background in Tile Setting Materials or related field.
  • Strong in establishing personal relationships.
  • Potential to manage SBU.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of Supervisory experience.
