Responsibilities:

  • Manage all engineering and technical aspects of investment projects, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with regulations.
  • Plan, schedule, resource, and oversee projects, collaborating with local engineers, the Regional Engineering team, and the Head of Operations.
  • Support Australian factories with production technology, processes, and equipment management, including FAT and SAT.
  • Lead vendor qualification for process equipment and manage the CAPEX plan for Sika Australia.

Key Duties:

  • Provide monthly reports and present updates at Engineering Meetings.
  • Implement APAC Operations guidelines and develop regional engineering activities.
  • Improve production efficiency through new process technology and collaborate with maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and train maintenance and production staff.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and apply various analyses (risk, HAZOP, cost-benefit, FMEAs) for investment projects.
  • Recommend and implement plant equipment/system improvements, and advise on budget items for expansions.
  • Support project management with FAT, SAT, and production line start-up.
  • Execute engineering work per standard rules, ensuring compliance with codes, QA/QC policies, and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with R&D on formulations, processes, and raw material costing.
  • Coordinate and evaluate new processes, equipment, projects, and technologies.
  • Participate in CAPEX project master planning and budget planning.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Your expertise - Our strength

  • Engineering background with 10 years of experience in relevant roles, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Proven project management experience and execution.
  • Knowledge of LEAN and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Proactive, focused, and target-oriented with strong people management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
  • Hard-working, trustworthy, and smart.
  • Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
  • Excellent PC skills and familiarity with project management processes and tools.
  • Self-disciplined and able to work independently.
